SONJA AGAINST THE GREAT DISTRIBUTION

Synopsis: Sonja went down from an advertising poster in the suburbs of the city. She came unglued from the
reassuring surface of cellulose to drive her painted motor-bike towards the nearest shopping-centre. As the parking
was full, she went in with the started engine, disseminating a calm and contained panic among the consumers,
distracted by the choice of the best goods. After repeated passages among the shelves of the supermarket, and
despite the extraordinary variety of the products, unfortunately she didn’t find what she was looking for and she
burnt everything. Then the customers diligently flowed to the cash-desks pushing their trolleys with measured speed.

Movement! Velocity!
Bright colors!
Broken bottles, and burned lamps
Seriality, mesmerism
White eyes on the planet Earth
The shelves in the supermarket crumble on the unaware consumer
The rolls scream on the floor of the shopping centre
Sonja uncaps a beer with her teeth
And speaks the language of fire!

Caption: an important stage of the human history has been completed: from being to having, the marxists said;
from having to appearing said now the responsibles of the marketing area of Winning Existence, a company leader
in the field of Existential Solutions. Finally we have an alienation that is apt in the latest fashion, that is post-modern
and cool. The image replaces everything that we lack. We are deprived of the substance and we go into raptures
with the shapes and the colors of empty boxes. From the shop-windows, from the tv-screens and from the fashion
parades, happiness offers itself to us like a overflowing simulacrum, like damaged take away food. We find plenty of
it in the company cocktails and in the tonic bars eaten during the break for lunch. But we have not to grumble if
what we swallow to fill our empty and restless stomach doesn’t nourish us, on the contrary it causes us cramps again
and leaves us hungry. Even if, at last we always console ourselves thinking to what we will eat tomorrow…
